Indian Army has 240-Year-Old Rajputana Rifles.

Rajputs are one of the most loved and respected ones in the country.

पृथ्वीराज चौहान की राजधानी अजमेर (राजस्थान) थी किन्तु उनका साम्राज्य सम्पूर्ण  राजस्थान , हरियाणा  एवं दिल्ली तक फैला हुआ था।

पृथ्वीराज चौहान एवं उनके भाई हरिराजा का जन्म गुजरात में हुआ था

 The Rajput Regiment was raised in 1798.

Rajput Regiment and Rajputana Rifles are two different regiments of the Indian Army.

The Rajput Regiment got its insignia – the crossed daggers – after the 3rd Battalion defeated Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan’s father, at Cuddalore.
